15 Writing Venues to Write At Before I Die (In No Particular Order)

1. The Grand Canyon.

I got to do this 2 summers ago.

Here I am, trying my best to type on my iPod (and not fall off the edge of the cliff).  Just kidding,  I'm too scared to get close to the edge.

2. Coffee Shop

Panera Bread works too.  ;)

3. Writer's Conference

I'm going to Realm Makers this summer!

4. England

I have wanted to travel there all my life.

5. Anywhere with a writer friend.

Check!!! (But I want to do this way more.)

6. A bookstore.

Because...why not?

7. Sedona, Arizona

I went there 2 summers ago and decided to have a short story take place there.

8. Iceland

Pictures from here are so beautiful.

9. By a campfire.

This is a fun thing to do.

10. In a car on a roadtrip.

I have gotten so much writing done in the car.

11. On a plane.

Ignore the movies, Alea...just ignore them...

12. New Zealand

BECAUSE MIDDLE-EARTH, PEOPLE!
13. Waiting in line somewhere.

14. Disney World

Check!  (My first story as a writer took place here.)

15. Blue Ridge Parkway

It is so beautiful there.

Where are some places you would like to write at?

  2. These all sound like so much fun!

I have a looong road trip coming up this summer, so... :D

Panera Bread is DELICIOUS. And writing next to a campfire is a brilliant idea.

    1. Ooh! Sounds like a fun trip, Emily!

Yay! Another Panera Bread lover! And yes, writing next to a campfire is fun (unless the smoke is blowing towards you. Then it isn't fun.).

    2. Oh yeah, smoke. Forgot that little detail. xD

    1. I wish I lived near the Blue Ridge Parkway... I have been there a few times though. :) (I just looked and realized I put "here" instead of "there".

  5. Ooohh all of these sound so fun. And surprisingly, even though I don't like coffee, I like coffee shops, so that's cool for me. *nods* And I totally need to try writing by a campfire next time I go camping. :D

    1. I'm not a coffee person either...but coffee shops are really cool. :) Writing by a campfire is pretty awesome.

  6. Omg this is amazing!! And kind of terrifying for me...XD hehe I can not write ANYWHERE but at my bed in my house. Like, anywhere else literally doesn't work for me. Although in the very coldest months, I sometimes migrate to my parents room which gets lots of sunshine. But otherwise I can't concentrate!! I think it'd be AWESOME to be able to write in cool places though. ;D

    1. :) LOL. I actually find my room hard to write in. Other places help me get more inspired (though it's sometimes distracting!).

  7. Yay, for writing in odd places! I'd probably wouldn't be writing if I went to the Grand Canyon, at least not a novel, I'd probably describe things and then maybe put it into a novel.
I've written in the car, at the library, while camping, though not by the fire, and sitting out in the shopping centre while waiting for people.

    1. I only wrote for a few minutes on a break from hiking. And it was Camp NaNoWriMo. But now I can say I did it!
      Nice!

  8. I'd love to write at all those places! The Grand Canyon is so . . . inspirational. It's wonderful. Writing by the ocean is pretty awesome too. ;) That's where I got the idea for my current WIP. Thank you for sharing with us!

    1. The Grand Canyon is very inspirational. I don't think I have ever written by an ocean. *adds it to list*

    2. Ah, you have to write by the ocean. It is so wonderful!

  9. Oh, YES! I've always wanted to write at a public place, like a coffee shop or bookstore. Kinda noisy, but a fun experience. (yeah, I always look enviously at the people in Star Bucks with their laptops. *sighs*)
