I'm stuck in a rut. I have trouble concentrating when I write and read. I have trouble concentrating on school. I just have trouble concentrating in general. I'm not sure why this is, but it really isn't fun.
I'm finished with my baby, The Clockshifter. I'm finished with What No One Remembers. I have a couple of book ideas, one of which I've started but I don't know which one is The One.
I am having the same problem!! I have finally come up with a book idea that I think will motivate me. I think it will kick me in the rear and say "hey, Anika, hurry up and finish this story so you can send it in to agents! Wouldn't that be cool?" Yeah, I hope this is the one.
I know the feeling. Why don't you try watching a good (or dumb, but funny) movie? (just saying because you also said you cannot concentrate on what you are reading either ;). For a dumb, but funny movie, I would recommend RocketMan XP
Yea... not having to think (or concentrate), and just laugh your brains out over something funny (even if its kinda dumb) is great for creativity/rejuvenation ;)
Yesssss. Same. I'm actually stopping with writing and all that for a week or so maybe longer just to give my brain a break then kick it full gear in April for camp. And plotting before. *Gives motivation*
Haha, yes, I feel you. Except it's mainly because I don't have the time XP. I actually just read a book and it was quite fun. Reviewing so much, it's been almost like a chore, and then all my essays and stuff have had to come first, so I've been slowing down on all writing and reading. :(
Find a good book and curl up in a comfy spot to enjoy.
I would love to hear your thoughts! Please keep everything clean and always be respectful of others. :) If your comment has inappropriate content, it will be deleted.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Chloe!

ReplyDeleteThat's what motivated me last summer. I had to get The Clockshifter ready to pitch to publishers in person. I hope your WIP is the one!
